About Talking rocks
Talking Rocks - Bio Talking Rocks is the brainchild of Turkish, Germany-based producer/musician Alptug Chavez. By blending Anatolian roots into a Psychedelic Electronic Rock/Fusion and Indie Dance, Talking Rocks creates a vivid and colorful soundscape and explosive live experience fueled by ritualistic guitars, analog synthesizers, deep grooves, and electronic textures. Under the Kanto Records label, Talking Rocks established a signature sound with the EP Misfit Mantra and the full-length album Nihilistan—works that bridge dancefloor energy and Anatolian Psychedelia. He performs both solo and with his Trio band, transforming every performance into a festive ceremony charged with high energy, hypnotic grooves, ecstatic soundscapes and an immersive live performance.
Before Talking Rocks, Chavez co-founded the electronica band Ikaru. The band collaborated with artists such as Mercan Dede and Islandman, released the LP Monolith along with three EPs, and performed at many prestigious venues and festivals across Europe and Turkey.
